Sailing Yacht Charter FAQs
Useful answers before you choose a yacht.
What is the difference between a catamaran and a monohull?
Catamarans offer stability and spacious deck areas, while monohulls offer a more traditional sailing feel. Read our catamaran vs monohull guide.
Do I need sailing experience?
On a crewed charter, a professional captain operates the yacht. A bareboat charter requires the hirer to meet experience and qualification requirements. See our bareboat vs crewed guide.
Can I charter for just one day?
Day charters may be available depending on the destination, yacht and date. Some yachts are offered mainly for weekly charters, so confirm the minimum duration.
When is the best time to sail in the Caribbean?
It depends on weather and availability. See our guide to the best time to charter.
What is included in the charter price?
Inclusions vary by yacht. Ask whether crew, fuel, provisioning, taxes and marina fees are included or charged separately, and request a written breakdown.
How do I request a quotation?
Send your destination, dates, number of guests and preferences through our contact page.
