The Itinerary
Day 1 Monaco – Departure Day
Port Hercule · Principality of Monaco
Board your yacht at Port Hercule, Monaco’s legendary harbour where Formula 1 cars race just metres from the water’s edge. Take the morning to settle in, meet your crew, and plan the week ahead. Your Monaco luxury charter begins here, in one of the world’s most glamorous ports.
In the afternoon, cruise gently out of port and anchor off the Principality for a first swim. Watch the sunset paint the Casino de Monte-Carlo in gold from your deck — an image you will never forget. Dinner aboard, catered to your preferences.

Day 2 Cap Ferrat & Villefranche-sur-Mer
~8 nautical miles from Monaco
A short sail west brings you to Cap Ferrat — one of the most exclusive peninsulas on earth. Hidden behind its pine trees lie the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild and some of the Riviera’s most extraordinary private estates. Drop anchor in the turquoise waters of Paloma Beach and explore by paddleboard or tender.
In the afternoon, round the cape into Villefranche-sur-Mer, whose bay is ranked among the most beautiful in the world. The pastel-coloured village, the 16th-century Citadelle and the crystal-clear depths — perfect for snorkelling — make this an unmissable stop on any French Riviera yacht charter.

Day 3 Nice & Èze-sur-Mer
~15 nautical miles from Monaco
Rise early and sail into the Baie des Anges for a morning in Nice. The Promenade des Anglais, the Old Town’s baroque alleyways, and the Cours Saleya market are all within easy reach by tender. Nice is the beating heart of the Riviera — vibrant, colourful, and full of life.
Return aboard for lunch, then navigate east to anchor beneath Èze — the dramatically perched medieval village overlooking the sea. Hike up through the cactus garden for a panorama that stretches from Monaco to Cap d’Antibes. This leg is beautifully suited to our Mediterranean sailing routes.

Day 4 Antibes & Juan-les-Pins
~25 nautical miles from Monaco
Antibes is the superyacht capital of the Mediterranean, and arriving by sea makes the experience feel entirely your own. The old port, the Picasso Museum housed in the ancient Château Grimaldi, and the ramparts overlooking the sea are all part of this city’s extraordinary character.
Anchor off the sandy beaches of Juan-les-Pins in the afternoon — a livelier, more festive atmosphere where beach clubs, jazz bars and water sports create an irresistible energy. This is the perfect day for a luxury charter yacht experience at its most sociable.

Day 5 Cannes
~30 nautical miles from Monaco
Cannes needs no introduction. The Festival, La Croisette, the Palais des Festivals — but seen from the water, on the deck of your own yacht, it all takes on a different dimension. Berth in the old port or anchor in the bay for a morning of exploration ashore.
The Marché Forville is the perfect spot to source fresh produce for an onboard lunch prepared by your chef. In the evening, Cannes offers some of the finest dining on the Riviera — from La Palme d’Or to intimate trattorias in the Suquet hilltop district. Our Amika yacht charter is particularly popular for the Cannes leg.

Day 6 Îles de Lérins
Off the coast of Cannes
Just 15 minutes by tender from Cannes, the Îles de Lérins are an extraordinary escape from the glamour of the Riviera. Île Sainte-Marguerite — where the Man in the Iron Mask was imprisoned — is blanketed in pine and eucalyptus forest, with extraordinary underwater visibility for snorkelling and diving.
Île Saint-Honorat, home to a working Cistercian monastery since the 5th century, produces its own wine and lavender liqueur, available to taste and purchase. Spend the full day at anchor here — calm, unspoilt, and utterly removed from the world. The Sunreef catamaran is ideal for this island day, offering extraordinary deck space for sunbathing and swimming.

Day 7 Saint-Tropez – Grand Finale
~50 nautical miles from Monaco
No French Riviera itinerary is complete without Saint-Tropez. The village that Brigitte Bardot made legendary retains its magic — especially when you arrive by yacht and anchor in the bay, with the terracotta rooftops of the old town rising above the masts. Take the tender ashore and explore the Place des Lices market, the Annonciade Museum, and the winding streets of the village.
In the afternoon, head to Pampelonne Beach — the mythical stretch of sand where beach clubs like Club 55 and Nikki Beach have defined Riviera summer culture for decades. End your final evening aboard with a Champagne sunset and dinner under the stars, before returning to Monaco the following morning.

Planning Your Charter
Best Time to Go
The French Riviera yachting season runs from May to October, with July and August being the busiest months. For a balance of warm weather, calm seas, and fewer crowds, we recommend June or September — the water is warm, the mistral winds are rare, and the most exclusive anchorages are accessible without the high-season rush.
Special Event Tip: If you’re planning around the Monaco Grand Prix (late May) or the Cannes Film Festival (mid-May), book at least 6 months in advance. These periods are spectacular from the water — but demand is extraordinary. Contact Riviera Boat early to secure your dates.
Choose Your Yacht
The right yacht makes all the difference on a 7-day itinerary. We recommend vessels that combine range, comfort, and onboard amenities for extended cruising. Here are our top picks for this route:
Best for performance and style. Covers ground fast, luxurious interiors, perfect for couples or small groups.
Best for families or larger groups. Unrivalled deck space, stability, and shallow draft for island anchorages.
Best for character and exclusivity. A beautifully appointed yacht that turns heads in every port.
Customise Your Route
This 7-day itinerary is a starting point — every charter we organise at Riviera Boat is fully tailored to your preferences. Want to add a day in Portofino? Extend to Corsica? Focus entirely on hidden coves and avoid the ports? Our team will build the perfect itinerary around your group.
